We are a non-profit organisation based in Wales making boxes of healing, support and wellness goodies for you.

Six years ago I wanted to send a gift box to a friend in hospital. I looked but couldn’t find anything even remotely suitable, so we made our own. Living with serious illness myself I sent lots of post to similarly bed-bound friends. Word of Healing Boxes spread and we grew from there. Want the whole story? Read on below, dear one.

We have hand-picked items we love and use ourselves to share with you here. When a loved one is sick, when you are just diagnosed and struggling or when a health crisis pops up and you need some extra smiles – that is why Healing Boxes is here.

You can give a gift of cheer, smiles, relaxation and support. Either make your own box up from the selection of products on the website or have a bespoke box designed for you.

The Healing Boxes themselves can, for example, include ginger sweets or tea for nausea, a journal or a c.d of mindfulness mediations for pain, illness and stress. Books, affirmation cards, a smooth glass palm-stone (metal free to hold during scans etc) are all popular items.

We also have information on many health conditions through years of research and so we can include a pack of essential information to save people trawling through google when newly diagnosed. We have found the best and tossed the rest, this is well researched information from reputable sources we ourselves use and love. We make boxes for health crises but also for celebrations. Happy Boxes are available for treats and cheering and we can create boxes for birthdays, graduations, weddings, birthing and pregnancy etc.

Why send a Healing Box?

I feel so passionate about the boxes as I am living with several serious chronic health conditions and so know the importance of support. When housebound, bed-bound or just plain sick, love and parcels can take on a big importance and can make your whole day. The products we include in the boxes are things we have personally used and loved. We tailor the boxes to you.

After all, if someone is in hospital, after bringing fruit and flowers what do you give? If someone has just been diagnosed with a serious illness and a “get well soon” card won’t quite cut it or just isn’t appropriate what can you send?

When a loved one is ill and your heart is hurting for them and you just wish there was something you could give them or do to make the whole awful experience a little easier…. that’s why I make Healing Boxes.

We use our years of experience living with chronic illness and my huge mentality towards research and investigation to seek out the most needed and best products available for the boxes. We have extensively surveyed communities living with and caring for a wide range of health conditions and people overwhelmingly love Healing Boxes.

We buy the products at wholesale prices which, as we are non-profit, is how we can offer them so afford-ably to you. An equivalent range of products bought online or on the high street would be much greater. We’ve brought them all together, from Britain, USA and Europe, saving you the time and postage costs of sourcing them yourself.

Healing Boxes stands for compassion, sparkle, enlightenment, comfort, an organic, vegan, ethical, service which is caring and thoughtful. I did all this before I got paid for it. I used to do this without pay, but being paid allows me to bring Healing Boxes to the world.

What’s your story?

Our boxes came about when a friend was hospitalised and we wanted to send a gift box in to her but we couldn’t find any sensible gift boxes to send to her.

So we created our own box. It was such a hit, we made more for other friends. Soon they were requested by friends of friends and we were getting referrals, unfortunately it was all from our own money and unofficial. We realised that the boxes deserved a wider audience. After a deeper personal health crisis (potentially cancer but then was actually an osteoporosis diagnosis) I threw away my fears and threw myself into making Healing Boxes a reality. My own story is over in the Bio.
